Welcome to my Day Two of the New Year. So one of my Resolutions for 2017 was to become more compassionate. I caught a mouse for the first time……on a glue trap….I feel sad… I did not want to move it. It was wiggling, trying to break free. It felt inhumane. I seriously wanted to pay someone to come remove it from in front of my Fridge. Someone told me it was Karma getting me back for wishing snow upon us.
This was my facial reaction…lol
Another friend told me to take the broomstick and bash his head in. I wanted to puke!
However, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who had experienced it though. Someone else said they caught three in one night. I would be devastated.
I means seriously, they should at least put poison on the glue so, its not just sitting there stuck…until it dies. I felt like a monster. No Jokie…..but at the same time, my nerves were jacked up because it was in my house.
It wasn’t until I had my little pep talk which went as follows:
She just moved up in there like you owe her. She doesn’t pay any bills. She is nibbling off your food. She only wants to come out at night. Next thing you know, you’re going to be taking care of 10, because they don’t stop at 1.
It’s either you or her; finish the job….
Indeed, I mustered up the confidence to finish the job. Flashbacks tortured me throughout the day- memories of me tossing the writhing bag into the dumpster… However, next time, I am getting a Smart Mouse Trap – Humane Mousetrap.
- No Poison or Glue
- Safe around Children and Pets
- Reusable Humane No Kill Mouse Trap
- Endorsed by Humane Societies and Animal Rights Organizations in the U.S. and Worldwide.
If you know you are going to feel like I do, you should totally get you a Humane Mousetrap.
Next UP…….. Tron joins PETA.
